Colorado update.....

The kids are doing just great! They held Vacation Bible School at two different churches. Amy was at one church helping with music, while Johnny was at another church helping with recreation. They said that the weather was just beautiful. Today is a play day at a really cool park in Breckenridge. Amy called me at lunch and said that she and a friend were on a ski lift. I told her that I have skiied at Breckenridge. Then she called me later and said that they took another lift to the top of the mountain and had to stay in a lodge and could not get back on the lift for a while because it was lightning.

First day on the road

The kids made it safely to Oklahoma City yesterday afternoon. They toured the Oklahoma City bombing memorial. Both of my kids remembered it from when we took them there about 8 years ago. They ate at a restaurant on the canal in Bricktown and then took a water taxi ride. Please pray for them today (Saturday) as they travel about 12 hours to Denver. Please pray for great weather, safe roads and that everyone do fine in the high altitude when they arrive. Thank you so much! More updates later...........

Prayer request from Uganda.....

Just received this in an e-mail from very dear friends that are missionaries in Kampala, Uganda. Please take the time and pray for these requests.
Thank you!
Prayer Requets for June:

1. The children of Kampala, and all of Uganda, would
come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior at an early age.

2. That leaders in the local churches would come
forth in reaching out in different areas of Kampala in
evanglizing, preaching and teaching.

3. Out of the exisiting churches new churches will be
started.

4. That many in America will heed the Lord's call to
come to Uganda and work along side of Him.

5. For the International World Changers group of
students coming at the end of June, that they will be
used of God as they minister in Kampala.

5. Safety of the missionaries as they travel about
Uganda in their different ministries.

Planning a Reunion

I worked at a bank about 20 years ago and made some of the very best friends that I will ever have. We were a family. We played volleyball after work, went out together, laughed together and cried together. I took a different job in another department in the bank and then was transferred to Dallas. I had some wonderful career opportunities while I was there and ended up in management when I left to move back to Houston. A few days ago, I was playing on Google and decided to type in a few of those names to see what happened to them. I found one of my very best friends in Florida and another in Michigan. I started contacting people and now we are going to have a Gibraltar Reunion! Each person had kept in touch with a couple of people over these last 20 years and now we have a list of about 20 people that are invited. I am more excited about this reunion than I ever was about any of my high school reunions! I am going to put a book together with where everyone is now and what they have been doing and their fondest memories.............I just can't wait for September to get here.

Baby got burned....

Johnny got back from Middle School camp with one of the worst sunburns that I have ever seen! Of course he had sun screen, but did not reapply it. His eyelids were swollen when I picked him up Friday. He had such a great time, in spite of it. He played some awesome games, went swimming and went canoeing and saw an alligator!

Lazy Puppy

This is true laziness.......

While the rest of us were cleaning house on Saturday, my lazy dog, Spring takes a nap....

Flicka

Watched this movie last night. It was great. I love horses. I have been horse back riding in New Mexico and Colorado when I was a teenager and it makes me want to go again.

I can't stand country music, but this song made me cry, because it made me think of my Dad. I was such a Daddy's girl and I really miss him.
