It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

I ask you............do you ever get too old for Charlie Brown and Snoopy? I hope not! I love this time of year and the classics that we get to watch! I will never grow up......I'm a Toys R Us Kid! HA!

Today, I became a "Math Buddy". One of the third grade teachers at lunch asked me if I would like to work with a little boy in her class that just needs a little help with his math. I told her that I would love to! I met him today. We went to the library and I helped him with a math worksheet. He was so precious. That 15 minutes made my whole day.

Turning 80

Friday was my Stepdad, Russell's 80th birthday. Today we took him and my Mom to lunch to celebrate. He is such a special man to me. He and my Mom have been married 21 years next month. I am so thankful that God brought him into our lives.

Shadow Feet - by Brooke Fraser

Listen to the words....

When we are grounded in our relationship with Christ, nothing can shake us! He does make all things new. Sometimes He takes us out of the "storms" in our lives, but sometimes He walks with us through the "storm"......

Rebecca - 1940 film with Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine

This is an early Alfred Hitchcock film. It won a ton of awards in 1940. It was very well done and very suspenseful.

Homecoming pictures

Amy went to the Homecoming Dance with a bunch of friends. These pictures are taken in a friend's backyard. They went to Red Robin for dinner, then went to the dance at the high school and then went bowling.

Pumpkin Puppy

She puts up with so much!!

There's a new cat in town...

Cats must be attracted to our house. I tell them over and over that I am allergic to them, but they don't care. Here is yet another little kitty. It waits for us to come home. It has snuck into the house a couple of times and is very sweet. As I pet it, I tell it over and over that I am really a dog person....

2008 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

This is so spectacular to see in person! I think back at how lucky I was to get to see this every year growing up there. They would fly over my house and my dog would go crazy. My brother, my Dad and I would go chase the balloons to see if we could tell where they would land. It is just a sight that you would never forget.

Clown Puppy

Hee Hee..........the things we put our dogs through.....

Special Needs children

I schedule meetings for the Special Services Department at three different elementary schools. I go in and out of classrooms and have been around some precious children. Today, I was asked to watch a special needs child while his parents met with teachers and specialists. He was about 10 years old. He is mentally retarded and has trouble speaking and some other needs. He would touch my arm and point and make words to communicate. He loves the chairs in the room with wheels. I pushed him around and then he pushed me around! What a sweet baby! I so admire these wonderful teachers and specialists that we have that work with these specials gifts from God. I used to be nervous around children with special needs. Now when I go into their room, I go over and touch each of them and look into their eyes and say hello. They look up at me and smile with a smile that will melt your heart. They don't look like we do, but they respond to kindness and love like we do. I am so thankful that I have this job and how God has opened my eyes to these beautiful children.
