This was so cool. This is a wonderful family that is providing a haven for the homeless in Albuquerque.

Happy Birthday, Daddy.....

Today is my Father's birthday. He would have been 76. The picture of the quilt is one that he personally picked out to give to me for Christmas. He passed away very suddenly a few days later right before Christmas of 2004.

I miss his sense of humor. I miss singing with him. I miss talking about computers and the bible and just talking to him about anything.

My heart hurts today.

Earthquake Rocks Indiana

My brother and his family live in Southern Indiana and felt the earthquake yesterday morning really early. Jeff and Tonya were sitting in their family room and they said that the severe shaking happened for a couple of seconds and woke the kids upstairs. Jeff said that it was a very helpless feeling. They live right across the river from Louisville, KY.

Safari Day!

The kids went to a Wildlife Safari Park today in Alvin. It is called Bayou Wildlife Park.

How cool is this? Even though they changed the first line to My Shepherd from My Jesus. The message still got across and I think it was wonderful!!! This is one of my very favorite praise songs!!!

Mission Trip

Here are some pictures of the Mission trip that Amy went on with the church high school kids. They were in Kiln, Mississippi. They helped clear debri, plant trees, and even help out in a hospital filing x-rays. On the way back they took a swamp tour. I love the picture of Amy driving the boat.

This movie moved me. If you know me at all, you know that music is at the very center of my being. My Dad asked me one day when I was a child, if I had to give up either my sight or my hearing, which would I give up. I quickly answered............my sight because I could not live in a world without music.

I just bought 3 Tony Bennett CD's and absolutely love them. You just gotta love this kind of music!!!

90 minutes in Heaven

We are doing a study on Heaven at church. This is an amazing story. I have been on that bridge 100 times. It is on Highway 19. My sister bought his book for my birthday.

Birthdays

On April 1st, I turned 45. I don't feel 45. I feel about 30 to be honest with you. I had a great day at the school I was at that day. The Assistant Principal put on a pig mask, and two ladies that I work with put on masks as well. One had a pig mask on and the other had a bear mask on. Oh my goodness, it was so funny. I wore a green birthday ribbon like the children wear. I received many wonderful gifts. That night, my sister came over and we went to Chili's. The crazy waiter announced to the entire restaurant that it was my 21st birthday.............to which my 15 year old announced even louder.........."She is really 45".......thanks, Amy! Dang, am I white or what? I think I will start working on that tan!!!

The kids and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe today in Downtown Houston. They loved it and Johnny crowned me as officially "cool".....too funny.
