Today we drove to Galveston for the day. We first had lunch at Fudrucker's on the third floor and fed the seagulls. We then walked down The Strand and went in the Railroad Museum. This held a special place for me because my father worked there from 1955 to 1956 as a teletype operator for the Santa Fe Railroad. There are two pictures in the video montage of the old passenger rail cars. One is of all of the beds where passengers would sleep. It was very interesting. www.galvestonrrmuseum.com
This is a picture of my Father, Curt Hennesy (on left) and his brother, Richard. It was taken in California (not Galveston as I first thought) in the late 40's, early 50's. I think Dad was about 17 or 18 in this picture.
Then we went to the Aquarium at Moody Gardens. We had a wonderful time. Enjoy the pictures.......
