We lost power for 9 1/2 days! We did not have a generator like some did. We did however have running water which is such a blessing. I took cold showers for 10 days and got used to it! I washed clothes at my sister's home one night and did some laundry at my best friend's house as well. I got so sick of cold mac and cheese in a can! It's amazing what you will eat when you have to.....dry cereal, crackers, vienna sausage, cold soup, etc! We did at one point get out the camping cook stove and were able to heat up things from a can. That was nice. Johnny and I played a lot of games of chess. Amy and I playied battleship out on the back porch. For most of the week, the weather was absolutely beautiful and that was such a blessing. Today the kids and I walked in the door around noon and saw the lights on after 9 1/2 days without. Our mouths dropped and we just looked at each other in disbelief! This is better than Christmas!!!!
