My Birthday - April 1, 2009

I had the coolest day at work! My wonderful boss brought donuts, kolaches, bought me fantastic mexican food, then they brought me a cake from the rest of the department! THEN, I had one friend do ballet for me, one teacher do a disco dance for me and 3 other teachers dance. We laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore. I had to wear a princess crown for my birthday, too. I am so thankful for such fun people at work. On Tuesday, my family took me out to dinner at Chili's and my sister went with us. My friend Deanne took me to dinner on the first. One school that I work at brought me a cake. Everyone made my birthday very special and one that I will never forget. I don't feel 46. I feel about 30!

Spring Break 2009

Last week was our Spring Break. We went up to my Mom's house and enjoyed the day with her and my Step Dad. The kids washed his truck. Her flowers were so pretty. Then one day we drove to the Kemah Boardwalk and then one day we went to Incredible Pizza and did go-cart racing, lazer tag, bowling, putt - putt golf and games. It was a blast. I really enjoyed my week with the kids!!!

ok, people are begging me to update my blog site! I have gotten hooked on Facebook and have been doing that instead of blogging............sorry! You can find me by searching Lisa Hennesy Russell.

Here is a wonderful song that Amy's choir did a couple of weeks ago. Wish it was a better quality video, but the sound is great!

Since Christmas, we have just been busy with life. Busy with two kids in highschool, jobs, church activities and life in general.

I will try to update more often. I have seen a ton of movies, but didn't want this to become nothing but a movie review.

Jeff's visit

Jeff flew in from Indiana for Christmas. We had such a great time! I just wish his wife and kids could have come!!! The first picture is my sister Judy and Jeff. When I see the picture of Jeff and me, I remember how people used to think we were twins when we were little.

Life is Beautiful

I rented this movie last night. A teacher recommended it to me. It was wonderful. It was entirely in Italian with English subtitles.

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"

I went to see this Christmas Day. It honestly was too long. It was almost 3 hours long. It was an interesting movie. I think that Brad Pitt will be the next Robert Redford in depth of acting ability and staying power.

Do you remember this old Christmas show? I wasn't born until 1963, so this is older, but I do remember watching the Perry Como Christmas special in the 70's. This is great.....

Mrs. Claus

Ok, can you see the look in her eyes? Is this hysterical or what????? She is SO tolerant! She lets me do whatever I want..........so, I want to dress her up as Mrs. Claus!

It only got to 35 degrees today!! Ok, for Houston, that's really cold. I grew up with snow, so I don't mind the cold. I took this in my car coming home from work.
