Thanksgiving 2006

Thanksgiving....

It’s about sitting down to eat
with the people
who mean the most to us,
beginning with a prayer,
and meaning the words more
because we’re saying them together.

It’s about passing love
around the table,
and bowing our heads
over turkey, mashed potatoes,
and gravy until every heart is full.

We drove up to Lake Livingston to be with my Mom and Step Dad. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It had to be close to 80 degrees. We had a wonderful time together. After lunch, Russell took the kids up to his shop to play on his 1930's pinball machine.

We were with them just on that Thursday.

Amy is taller than me and Johnny is my height. I am sure that soon, he will be much taller than me. We are going to get your winter storm on Thursday...
