Aren't competitions fun? The concert choir Suzanna is in went to large group festival last friday. They were fabulous! They got straight 1's. Both Suzanna and Tara competed in the NM State competition in Show Choirs yesterday. Tara's choir came in 1st place of all the women's choirs! She was sooo thrilled! Suzanna's choir came in 2nd of all the mixed choirs. She was happy, but also a little disappointed being that it's her Senior year, and that was her last competition. We both hugged eachother and cried because we knew she would never compete at Show Fest again. Then we were happy and didn't cry when he hugged Tara. Mixed emotions. I was at the competition from 7 am and didn't leave until 10:30pm. Long day, but totally fun! Is Johnny going to continue in High School playing the French Horn? Will he join the marching band?

Wow.......that's so cool about the girls.

Johnny has talked about being in the marching band when he gets to high school and now absolutely loves the guitar! He has really picked it up easily and is doing great! I may look into getting him guitar lessons this summer and now he is involved in a "Stomp" type number in their Youth Choir musical coming up. He will use drum sticks on a trash can. He is so excited. I am so thankful that both of my kids love music like I do! They get that from my Father.
