We sat in the church parking lot and watched the fireworks from Splashtown.
Me and My Life
In searching for something significant to post regarding the 4th of July, I came across this video about the Declaration of Independence. It is 14 minutes long, but in my opinion, well worth it. I found it very interesting. I wanted to be reminded of just why we celebrate our independence.....
I was organizing all of the music on my computer and ran across this song........
Close your eyes and let this song penetrate your heart......
Watched this group of 5 young men from Ireland. They have a wonderfully unique sound. They are coming here in November. I want to see them in concert.
I heard this song today for the first time and it really blessed me. It just reminded me that no matter what we go through in life that God never leaves us alone. He is always there and I needed this reminder. I hope this blesses you like it blessed me........"Never will I leave you, Never will I forsake you"..Hebrews 13:5
I rented this movie last night. It was very, very moving. It had a lot of subtitles. Surprisingly a lot of my 4 years of Spanish came back to me. It was very beautifully done.
This was a 10 hour series on PBS filmed on the USS Nimitz. It was fascintating and very educational. I guess my interest in watching it was that my brother was in the Marines and on an aircraft carrier also. It gave me a new appreciation for what he experienced in the Marines and a new appreciation for everyone serving in our Military to defend our freedom.
I taped this and watched it last night. I now love and appreciate the incredible music of Ella Fitzgerald! That girl can "Scat".........I think I will download some of her music and make my own CD today.
You have been warned. I bought this CD for Johnny for his 14th birthday yesterday. When this song came on today on my way home, I cranked it up and totally forgot that I am 45 years old. It is Christian Rock/Rap and I like it.
I started this movie this morning. I am thinking about my Uncle Pete the entire time, because he served in Burma in WWII.
That is why we watched the movie the night before. The kids love the movie and I didn't tell them that we would see the exhibit until the movie was over. They were totally fascinated by it! It has real pictures of the ship, a replica of a states room, the menus, dishes, perfume, a purse, a wallet, etc that was recovered from the wreckage. If you like that sort of thing, you would love seeing the exhibit. To read more about the history of the Titanic, click here. This was so cool. This is a wonderful family that is providing a haven for the homeless in Albuquerque.

My brother and his family live in Southern Indiana and felt the earthquake yesterday morning really early. Jeff and Tonya were sitting in their family room and they said that the severe shaking happened for a couple of seconds and woke the kids upstairs. Jeff said that it was a very helpless feeling. They live right across the river from Louisville, KY.

How cool is this? Even though they changed the first line to My Shepherd from My Jesus. The message still got across and I think it was wonderful!!! This is one of my very favorite praise songs!!!
This song brings me to tears every time that I hear it, especially by the two top vocalists in the world.
This movie moved me. If you know me at all, you know that music is at the very center of my being. My Dad asked me one day when I was a child, if I had to give up either my sight or my hearing, which would I give up. I quickly answered............my sight because I could not live in a world without music.
I just bought 3 Tony Bennett CD's and absolutely love them. You just gotta love this kind of music!!!
I also rented this movie this weekend. It was simply delightful. I just loved it.
The kids and I heard this group at church tonight. They were great.
oh my goodness!!! This is moving! I am all about the harmony!
This is my kids' favorite game and they both are great at it. This guy is unbelievable. My kids have wanted me to try it. I am not that quick or coordinated!
They celebrate 50 years of entertainment this month.
